Management Team
Jeff Tornow
President and CFOJeff joined ESI in 2003. Before that he spent three years in public accounting and nearly 20 years in finance positions in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors. Jeff's experience also includes working with venture capital firms and consulting with businesses to help them reduce costs and operate more efficiently.
A Certified Public Accountant, Jeff is a graduate of Winona State University in Winona, MN. His hobbies include golf, gardening and other outdoor activities. He and his wife, Deb, have four sons and one daughter.
Amy Hoines
VP of Strategic PartnershipsAmy is the VP of Strategic Partnerships for Electronic Systems Inc. Quoting, Program Management and Planning report to her.
Amy joined the ESI team in 2015. Prior to that, she spent 17 years in Operations Management for two industrial manufacturing companies. This prior experience allowed Amy to develop a strong background in lean manufacturing, cost reduction and meeting customer requirements.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University and an MBA from the University of South Dakota. Her hobbies include reading and biking. She and her husband, Dave, have two sons and a daughter.
Brian Carstensen
Manufacturing ManagerBrian joined the ESI team in 2018. Before that he spent over a decade in various manufacturing industries where he gained experience in manufacturing engineering, production planning and leadership roles.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from South Dakota State University and an MBA with Operations and Supply Chain emphasis from the University of South Dakota. His hobbies include racing, baseball, and spending time with family. He and his wife Jessica have three boys.
Gary Larson
Executive Director of New Business DevelopmentGary has been with ESI since 1999. Prior to that he spent over 15 years affiliated with electronics manufacturers including Litton Corp., Appleton Electric Co., E.F. Johnson, Telex Corporation and Pemstar Inc. Initially focusing on manufacturing engineering and new product introduction, he later specialized in business management with an emphasis on business development and driving excellence in manufacturing operations. Gary's experience also includes customer relationship management (CRM) and implementation/execution of manufacturing costs analysis systems.
Gary holds a Bachelor's Degree from South Dakota State University and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Business in St. Paul, MN. His hobbies include golfing, hunting and playing and coaching basketball. He and his wife, Terri, have two daughters and two sons.
